A solid fourteen carat yellow gold chain, or necklace.  This is the very unusual and interesting anchor link chain.  It appears to be a box link but is actually a very tightly woven angular anchor link. The necklace features a sprung bolt ring clasp.  The link is quite unusual highly attractive and thick and heavy for a smaller thickness of chain.

On the clasp itself, on one side, it makers marks stamped into it of a fleur de lis, along with "18k" for eighteen carat on the reverse, as can be seen from the photograph.  This is a very high quality chain, and has a great weight to it, weighing nearly twenty grams.  It is nineteen inches in length and 1.7mm thick, so a very comfortable size.  Made in Europe, circa 1960's.
