The distinctive case, which draws its inspiration from mid-century design, makes a statement on the wrist, and the silver dial with diamond markers complement the look well. For the movement the company utilized their particularly fine 9LT rectangular mechanism. Complete with gold jewel chatons and beveled spokes on the center and ratchet wheels, the movement is very well executed.
This Advocate is all-original and in pleasing condition. Its 14K white gold case is in near mint condition. Its classically styled dial is original and untouched. And its high-grade Longines movement is very clean.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it and installed a correct new-old-stock crystal. Amazingly after nearly 70 years it is keeping time better than a new Longines in our testing position.
